Vintage Sunglasses, Malibu Waves, a touch of David Lynch, and a good dose of nostalgia for Hollywood´s Golden Age: Ava Vegas´ persona certainly evokes a surreal, long-forgotten glamour of unrealized dreams. Close your eyes and listen to her music and you could, at the same time, see Lana Del Rey riding in a convertible through a movie set of 1950s L.A. or, Velvet Underground´s muse Nico singing in a Berlin ballroom.

With the latter, Ava shares a breeze of Ibiza history where both spent formative years. For the moment Ava calls Berlin her home. She once came to the German capital to study architecture at the University of the Arts. Now she is building worlds that cannot exist.

Hamburg based songwriter, producer and visual artist KUOKO is about to drop her self-titled debut album
october 22nd.

After signing to the Hamburg based imprint Kabul Fire Records (Farhot, AgaJon) KUOKOS debut EP “Lost
Woods” and her sophomore EP “Reality Check” by now count several million streams.
On a variety of songs KUOKO now proves that she moves comfortably through her own soundscapes. Her single „Perfect Girl“ is brimming with drive and built-up energy that is eager to be released on dance floors, transporting the songs' clear message that she will “never be the perfect girl that you want me to be.” – tackling society’s expectations of women. Her debut record combines personal narratives with political messages and is an accumulation of what KUOKO stands for. As with her music, KUOKO has a strong steer over her visuals, from making her own artwork to working on her music videos with filmmaker and directress Jasmin Luu, another Hamburg resident who has recently started up the feminist, multi-disciplinary collective SEOI, which KUOKO also cofounded.

Mulay, simply put, is a Berlin-based alternative R&B singer-songwriter, producer and artist, but rarely is there this much emphasis on the latter.
