Born into the chaotic arty environment of Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg in the mid-nineties where he grew up in a squat, the 22-year-old has created his own artistic universe. Seamlessly blending fashion, music, dance, and activism together with a strong sense of community his music is timelessly modern, yet deeply romantic. Between Indie, Pop, Wave, and Disco he creates a bittersweet place of hopeful melancholy, an island within the chaos, a word embedded in silence, a hug of gentle intimacy.

Vintage Sunglasses, Malibu Waves, a touch of David Lynch, and a good dose of nostalgia for Hollywood´s Golden Age: Ava Vegas´ persona certainly evokes a surreal, long-forgotten glamour of unrealized dreams. Close your eyes and listen to her music and you could, at the same time, see Lana Del Rey riding in a convertible through a movie set of 1950s L.A. or, Velvet Underground´s muse Nico singing in a Berlin ballroom.

With the latter, Ava shares a breeze of Ibiza history where both spent formative years. For the moment Ava calls Berlin her home. She once came to the German capital to study architecture at the University of the Arts. Now she is building worlds that cannot exist.

Drawing influence from hip hop, indie rock, and soul, Bohan Phoenix is an anomaly traveling constantly between East and West, heralded by fans as “Mr. Overseas” for his seamless sonic blend of Chinese and American language and culture. Bohan represents anyone who’s ever felt “too foreign for here, too foreign for home.” Bohan’s collaborations span the globe, including the likes of Chinese rap superstars Higher Brothers, Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth, Korean-American emcee Dumbfoundead, and famed UK radio presenter Benji B.

In 2020 Bohan’s longtime passion for building bridges led to using his platform to demand better support of Black Lives Matter causes from the most visible Asian artists and industry players. His efforts spurred measurable donations and efforts from 88rising, Jackson Wang, and Higher Brothers.
